What's in the dark? RPG
have you ever wondered what's really out there? there's people out there with answers. people who fight all things supernatural...things you couldn't see in your worst nightmares...things that can't be explained. these people risk there lives without pay or mercy. they're hunters.
The Job:
though most hunters work alone, they all share a common duty. they take the knowledge they've been given to save lives. they take away the burden of knowing what's really in the dark. according to most of them, nobody chooses this lifestyle. nobody gives up everything just to save lives. so then most would wonder why. why would you risk your life voluntarily? most have lost a loved one and are seaking revenge. different hunters start for different reasons. they each have there own story. yet revenge seems to be a key factor. hunters can't feel sympathy or regret. they simply have to do the job, which may result in losing lives along the way.
The Hunt:
some think horror movies are scary. but when you've gone on a hunt, nothing comes close. people see werewolves as scary masks when really, they're desperate, trapped killing machines. and some people see vampires as pale late-nighters, when really, they're angry, horny creatures who are part of a dying bread. people see stereotypes...hunters see killers. most hunters would agree that one hunt can change your whole perspective on anything paranormal.
The Story:
My name is Emma Shortt. I'm 24 years old and as you may already know, i'm a hunter. I was raised around hunters. i've learned everything i know from them, both good and bad. like i said, we each have a story...here's mine.
eighteen years ago, my family was murdered by a demon. my parents were hunters, and damn good ones at that. no one really knows why i lived that night, and now it doesn't matter. all i know is that from the night that happened, i knew what i was going to do with my life. i was going to make my parents proud. i was going to finish the job...for them, whether it was what they wanted for me or not. i've been hunting ever since.
even though i'm still hunting full time, i've managed to settle down a bit...for a hunter at least. i still live out of motel rooms most of the time, but i have a beautiful baby girl named Kate, and i'm happy, but don't get me wrong, i'm still dedicated to the job.
throughout my life, i've met tons of hunters, and now i'm seeking there help. a war is upon us, and non of us are gonna make it on our own. i've tried to keep in touch with most of them in case something like this was to happen. several of them are already on board, but i'm still looking for more of us. that's why i need your help. if your interested, contact me at emmashortt_witd@yahoo.com.
